Day 3: Clownfish, Barracuda and a Pub Crawl Along the Waterfront
Day three staying at Villa 25 in Port Vila. Still raining so we didn't get up to a huge amount, but we had booked in with Deep Blue for a scuba diving experience, so that was the big one for the day.
The dive was brilliant. Saw clownfish, the disco electric fish, more eels, barracuda, everything you'd expect from a tropical island. Mikey organised it and I was a bit resistant going in, a bit worried about it if I'm honest, but I really enjoyed it once we were under.
After the dive we did a bit of a pub crawl along the waterfront, which was fun. Started with some really awful bubbles at a place called Sunny View, an Australian sparkling, pretty bad. Onto another pub down the road, then finally landed at Stone Grill, which was really popular, owned by a French man. Food was good there, had some gins with lime which went down well. Home for a couple of glasses of red wine and off to bed.
Thoughts of the day:
● Best day for activities and exploration not raining
● Glad Mikey organised the dive even though I was a bit resistant at first
● Clownfish, disco electric fish, eels, barracuda, the full tropical spread
● Feeling pretty relaxed
● Sunny View bubbles were awful, an Australian sparkling to avoid
● Stone Grill was the standout, French owner, good food and gins
